Homeowners Insurance with LINDAN Insurance
Your Home is Your Sanctuary. We Help Protect It.
Homeowners insurance is a critical policy that safeguards your most valuable asset—your home—and provides essential financial protection against unforeseen events, liabilities, and losses. A comprehensive policy ensures that if disaster strikes, you have the resources to rebuild, replace belongings, and cover costs if someone is injured on your property.
Why Choose LINDAN Insurance for Your Home Coverage?
Choosing LINDAN Insurance means choosing a partner dedicated to finding you comprehensive protection without overpaying. As your independent agents, we are uniquely positioned to serve your best interests.
Here are the LINDAN advantages:
The Independent Agent Advantage: LINDAN Insurance is an independent agency, which means we don’t work for a single insurance company—we work for you. We partner with a wide array of top-rated national and regional carriers. This allows us to shop the entire market, compare rates and coverage details, and find the absolute right carrier and the perfect policy to match your home’s value and your family’s needs.
Expertise in Reconstruction Value: Many homeowners underinsure their dwelling because they rely on market or real estate value. Our agents specialize in determining the true reconstruction cost—what it would actually cost to rebuild your home from the ground up after a total loss—ensuring your Coverage A amount is accurate and adequate.
Customized Policy Building: We go beyond the standard coverage limits. We review your personal property, including high-value items like jewelry, artwork, or firearms, and recommend specific endorsements to close coverage gaps. Your policy is tailored to your unique assets.
Bundling for Maximum Savings: By choosing LINDAN for both your Homeowners and Auto insurance, you gain access to significant multi-policy discounts, maximizing your savings while simplifying your insurance management.
Local, Dedicated Agents: Our professional agents are members of your community. They provide personalized advice, understanding local weather risks and property regulations, ensuring you get supportive and reliable service when you need it most.
Breaking Down Homeowners Insurance Protection
A typical homeowners insurance policy is divided into two primary parts: Property Protection and Liability Protection.
Part I: Home Insurance Property Protection
This section covers the physical structure of your home and your belongings, usually broken down into four core coverages (A, B, C, and D):
Coverage A: Dwelling
Covers the main house, attached structures, and built-in fixtures (e.g., built-in appliances, electrical wiring, plumbing, and heating systems). Important: This coverage should reflect the cost to rebuild (reconstruction cost), not the market price.
Coverage B: Other Structures
Covers detached structures on your property, such as detached garages, storage sheds, fences, driveways, sidewalks, and patios.
(Note: Detached structures used for business purposes are typically not covered under a personal policy.)
Coverage C: Personal Property
Covers the contents of your home and other personal items owned by you or family members who live with you.
This protection can be based on Actual Cash Value (ACV) or Replacement Cost Value (RCV)—we will help you choose the option that best serves you.
Be aware that certain valuable items (e.g., jewelry, money, firearms, business property) may have limited coverage unless you purchase special endorsements.
Coverage D: Loss of Use
If your home is uninhabitable due to a covered loss, this coverage pays for your necessary living expenses (Additional Living Expenses) that are above your normal costs, such as hotel stays, meals, and laundry services.
Part II: Home Insurance Liability Protection
Personal Liability: Provides financial protection if a claim or lawsuit is brought against you for bodily injury or property damage that occurs to others on or off your property (e.g., a visitor slips on your walkway, or your child accidentally damages a neighbor’s property).
Medical Payments: Covers medical costs for people injured on your property, regardless of fault.
